When I first heard about your Bahamian paradise, I assumed (like most), that your home away from home was in fact on one of the main touristy islands. It would make sense that you found a quaint idyllic cottage at some distance, but not too far, from the hustle and bustle of the local night life. Close to both shopping and entertainment, but far enough away to offer you some peace and quit enough for you to create your next master piece.
I can only begin to imagine what it is like to pull the plug on just about every modern day conveniences. Perhaps one day my better half and I will get that opportunity, although my goals are a little higher (in the physical sense). My dream home will be somewhere secluded on a mountain side and next to a stream,a small river or a lake. I hope that time and life will afford me that opportunity, but that is the great thing about the future. We just never know what it will bring.
If and when that time comes, you and your family will always be welcome, both as guests or to borrow it when we aren’t there.
If nothing else, it could be a story line in a future book of yours…
